March Happenings in Boise and Beyond
March in Boise brings a fresh wave of energy, with a calendar packed full of can’t-miss events for every interest. From live entertainment and local markets to sporting events and seasonal celebrations, the city comes alive as winter transitions into spring.

Giraffes strut. Birds swoop. Gazelles leap. The entire Serengeti comes to life as never before. And as the music soars, Pride Rock slowly emerges from the mist. This is Disney’s THE LION KING, making its triumphant return to the Morrison Center!

A celebration for those who love Boise, a convening of community builders and changemakers, dreamers and doers – the individuals and organizations working to build a better Boise.

March is Women's History Month and we’re celebrating the remarkable contributions of Idaho women making waves across competitive fields. Hosted at Jack's Urban Meeting Place (JUMP)

Explore your inner artistic abilities with some wine at Zoo Boise for Paint and Pinot. Join artist-instructor Deanna Peacock for an evening of painting and sipping while surrounded by baboons, an otter, and the Nile crocodile! All supplies will be provided.

Mountainfilm on Tour is coming to town, bringing a selection of culturally rich, adventure-packed and inspiring documentary films curated from the Mountainfilm Festival in Telluride, Colorado.

The 2026 Big Sky Men's and Women's Basketball Championships, presented by Idaho Central Credit Union, will be held at Idaho Central Arena in downtown Boise from March 7-11. All 10 Big Sky schools will compete over five days for an automatic bid to the NCAA’s March Madness.

Eat.Drink.Shop Market provides a unique venue for local Treasure Valley artisans, purveyors, and foodies. Launched in 2021 by vendors, originally food-focused, EDS offers indoor market locations during winter and the market "off-season."

Known as America’s Big Band, the Jazz Ambassadors are the premier touring jazz orchestra of the United States Army.

What is it like to work at a zoo? Learn exhibit design, plan diets, identify scat, “train animals”, make enrichment, and find out how zoos (and you) protect animals in the wild.
