Our Boise summer bucket list continues to grow—from floating the river, hiking in the hills, paddle boarding at Quinn’s Pond, biking on the Greenbelt, and enjoying the ever-growing food scene on a shaded patio, Boise summers can be packed full of fun and fabulous outdoor activities. We love the cool mornings, warm evenings, and late sunsets that give us plenty of time to explore and adventure even after a full day of work.

Another favorite option for enjoying the weather, the outdoors, and some friendly connection is checking out one of the area’s many summer concert series! Whether you're settling onto a blanket in a shaded park or dancing downtown with a cold drink in hand, our city offers the perfect soundtrack for summer.

Check out our picks for experiencing Boise’s vibrant outdoor concert scene below.

The Neighborhood Concert Series brings music to local parks on select Wednesdays, with food trucks, local brews, and family-friendly fun. Pack a picnic or grab a bite onsite - these free pop-up shows are community favorites and a fabulous way to experience some of Boise’s many neighborhood parks.

Alive After Five fills The Grove Plaza downtown every Wednesday evening in June and July with high-energy performances from local and touring artists. Splash pads, cold drinks, and good company make this a summer staple.

Jump, Jam & Jive at JUMP offers Tuesday night grooves in an amphitheater setting, highlighting Boise’s best up-and-coming acts with food, drinks, and a casual vibe.

Every Thursday, head to the Idaho Botanical Garden for the Great Garden Escape. It's a lush, laid-back concert experience perfect for barefoot dancing and discovering new sounds among the blooms.

For a more refined evening, Boise Baroque Summer Concert Series presents classical music performances under the summer sky, with lawn seating or elegant table options at the Château des Fleurs.

Or check out Green Acres, Boise’s lively food truck park on the Greenbelt, offering live music daily—from bluegrass to Americana. Grab an ice cream, sip local wine, play yard games, and relax under string lights with a view of the river.

Ready to cool off in the mountains? Bogus Basin’s Music on the Mountain series offers free concerts every other Saturday through early September—pair your music with hiking, biking, or just soaking up the alpine air.

And for a weekend getaway, Brundage Mountain in McCall hosts the TGIF Concert Series every Friday evening. Surrounded by towering pines, it’s the perfect spot to unwind with live music and a mountain view.
