We love spending time in Eagle, whether for a day’s excursion or to serve our fabulous Eagle real estate clients. We are drawn to this part of the Treasure Valley for so many reasons, with its urban amenities, luxury homes, and active lifestyle—where natural beauty, outdoor adventure, fine dining, high-end shopping, and beautiful wineries co-exist to create one of the ultimate Idaho lifestyles. Eagle is experiencing a boom in popularity, activity, and growth, and it’s no surprise when you consider all that the area has to offer.

Spend a morning mountain biking the endless foothill trails, then float, kayak, or hire a guide and fish the river. Explore the town’s spring art walks, farmers' markets, and boutiques before indulging in an afternoon glass (or two) of wine at a nearby winery. Finish out your day with a delectable meal at one of the area’s noteworthy restaurants. We’ve picked out some of our favorite experiences and put together the perfect itinerary for a day, entire weekend, or even a lifetime spent in Eagle!

Outdoor Adventuring & Brunch

Start your day with an invigorating hike at Eagle Island State Park, a sprawling 545-acre natural retreat with scenic trails winding through meadows and wooded areas along the Boise River. Take your pup to the park’s off-leash area or grab the binoculars to watch for local wildlife, there’s even a small beach and swimming area to cool off on hot summer days.

Fish the eddies of the Boise River—a prime spot for catching rainbow trout or smallmouth bass. Whether you wade in the river or relax on the banks, it’s a serene way to connect with nature before the day picks up pace. Hire an expert river guide for an even more successful day on the water. We love Fish with Bish for one-on-one guidance and a personalized experience.

Hop on your bike and explore Eagle’s rolling foothill trails or scenic Greenbelt paths, which follow the river and weave through lush parks and charming neighborhoods. The greenbelt can take you right to some popular lunch spots too. We recommend a stop at Rembrandts, a beloved local café housed in a historic church, serving brunch, lunch, fresh coffee, and homemade pastries.

Boutique Shopping & Wine Tasting

Spend your afternoon strolling through Eagle’s charming downtown and exploring its locally owned boutiques. Pop into Porterhouse Market for gourmet meats and specialty foods, or browse Olive & Vyne for unique olive oils and balsamic vinegars. Shop for thoughtful gifts at The Cottage or Roost. Visit luxurious home decor shops like Acquire in downtown Eagle or Dwell Home Co. a little further up the road.

Indulge in local wine tasting at one of Eagle’s fabulous wineries. 3 Horse Ranch Vineyards, located in the hills outside of town, offers a sprawling covered patio, a picturesque setting, a full menu, estate-grown wines, and a relaxed tasting experience. We also really love Dude DeWalt Cellars, offering friendly service, cozy barn-style tasting room, stunning foothill views, and a spacious patio with fire pits and regularly scheduled live music. Their wine club gives you access to some of their private events and winemakers' dinners, along with complimentary tastings when you visit!

Dinner & Drinks

End the day with dinner at Spitfire Tacos & Tequila, creative Mexican cuisine and handcrafted cocktails in a stylish, lively setting. We recommend you start with the chips and guac and grab a table on the rooftop bar! Or try Bardenay’s riverfront patio for a relaxed yet refined dining experience with an exceptional menu and surroundings.

From outdoor adventures to boutique shopping and local wineries, Eagle offers the perfect mix of recreation, relaxation, luxury, and indulgence.
