We may be Idaho’s #1 real estate team, and we take our role as trusted advisors pretty seriously. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t time between showings, contracts, and closings for a few scratches, treats, and visits from our favorite four-legged coworkers.

In honor of National Dog Day, we’re celebrating the dogs of Lysi Bishop Real Estate!

We are an office full of dog lovers, and on any given day, you might walk through our doors and be greeted by one of our friendly companions. Our extended canine team runs the gamut from tiny, fluffy, practically-pocketbook-sized pups to the brave Idaho adventure dogs who hike, camp, backpack, raft, and probably have more outdoor gear than some of us do.

They’re part of our families, our weekends, our adventures, and occasionally our workdays. And while their contributions to real estate are questionable, office morale is noticeably higher when they’re around.

A Local Rescue Close to Our Hearts

This National Dog Day, we also want to shine a light on an organization that has become particularly special to our team: Idaho Golden Retriever Rescue.

Lysi & Scott recently welcomed the newest member of their family through Jen and the team at Idaho Golden Retriever Rescue, making the organization worth a shoutout and spotlight.

Idaho Golden Retriever Rescue is Idaho’s only Golden Retriever-specific rescue. The volunteer-run organization rescues Goldens from shelters, owner surrenders, and other situations across the state, placing them with foster families while they receive the care they need and wait for the right forever home. Founders Jen Severance and Eric Wingard brought nearly two decades of experience connecting Golden Retrievers with loving families to the organization.

And there are plenty of ways to help even if another dog isn’t currently in the cards. The organization relies on foster families, volunteers, donations, and community support to provide veterinary care, food, supplies, and safe homes for Goldens in need.
