Dude DeWalt Cellars | Dude Dewalt, named after a local sheepherder from the 1930’s (there’s a story worth hearing!), was “built by people who work to preserve the memory & legend of the area.” The tasting room offers an intimate, local wine experience with friendly, knowledgeable staff, a hilltop setting, & fabulous patio that often hosts live music. It is an easy destination for a glass of wine & an exceptional experience. 

Sol Invictus Vineyard | This family-owned winery is built around friends, fruit, & the shared joy of a shared bottle of wine. From their website: “As a family with a rich military history, we understand sacrifice, hard work and dedication – to our country, to each other, the land, the fruit, and the wine-making process.”

3100 Cellars | Recently featured in Food & Wine Magazine, 3100 Cellars is named for the 3100+ whitewater river miles in the state of Idaho, where the owners met. On one of many rafting trips, they also agreed to start making & selling sparkling wine. With a focus on traditional-method sparkling wines made from Idaho-grown grapes, it brings an unexpected dimension to the Treasure Valley wine scene.

3 Horse Ranch Vineyards | 3 Horse Ranch has become one of the most recognizable names in Idaho wine. Its vineyard setting in the Eagle Foothills provides a true wine-country experience, with sweeping landscapes and an opportunity to enjoy wines close to where they are grown. The expansive patio and light-filled interior space are the perfect place for a glass of wine, intimate meal, or lively celebration.

Buckhorn Vineyards | Buckhorn Vineyards adds another local destination to the mix, reinforcing just how much the wine landscape surrounding Eagle has grown. Buckhorn Vineyards was created to focus on a passion for the region and its ability to produce a variety of phenomenal wines, celebrating a love of superb but affordable wines and emphasizing the importance of the vineyard’s terroir on the wines produced. 

An Urban Wine Scene Along the River

Drive roughly 15 minutes in the opposite direction, toward Garden City and Downtown Boise, and the wine-tasting experience includes a more urban flair.

Rather than vineyards and open farmland, you'll find an energetic collection of urban tasting rooms, restaurants, breweries, and gathering places taking shape near the Boise River and Greenbelt. Garden City's wine scene has become a destination of its own, and the number of places to taste locally made and regional wines continues to grow.

Telaya Wine Co. | Telaya Wine Co. offers a unique urban winery experience along the Boise River Greenbelt. The winery's flagship wine, Turas, is a Syrah-based red blend that showcases the region's terroir. Coiled Wines | Coiled Wines focuses on crafting wines from Idaho-grown grapes. The winery's portfolio includes Dry Riesling, Syrah blends, and a sparkling Riesling named "Rizza." Proletariat Wine Company | This boutique winery, based in Walla Walla, Washington, opened a tasting room here in Garden City just 2 years ago. Proletariat offers high-quality, sustainably crafted wines on tap and in bottles. Their Idaho tasting room provides a welcoming atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating options, including a rooftop terrace with views of the Boise foothills.
