A Legacy of Leadership, Love, and Work Ethic

This week, we want to take a moment to celebrate the women who have stepped into the role of “Mom” at some point in their lives. Cheers to those who raised us and those raising little ones now. To the women who took on motherly roles regardless of bloodlines. To the ones who teach, lead, care, give, listen, and inspire with a deep commitment to serving others.

There are all kinds of ways to be “Mom,” and each one is meaningful. For many of us, the “moms” in our lives are not defined by a single title, but by the way they showed up, supported, and shaped us: steadfast, generous, and full of heart. 

Speaking of women who lead and inspire, we’re especially grateful to be surrounded by a few remarkable moms here at Lysi Bishop Real Estate, starting with our founder.

Inspired by her own mother, a real estate agent, Lysi Bishop built her career on the belief that women can do it all. That it’s possible to work hard, build something meaningful, and still be fully present at home.

Lysi began her career right here in Boise, where she and her husband Scott raised their two children. In those early years, especially, motherhood and business were somewhat intertwined. Many of her earliest clients were connections she made through her life as a mom: women from Junior League, friends from preschool days, and parents of her children’s classmates.

To this day, many of Lysi’s loyal, returning clients are connections from her years as a mother, running around Boise with two kids in tow. 

She has grown the Lysi Bishop Real Estate brand the same way she leaned into motherhood: with passion, persistence, and patience. And through it all, she has proved that being a present, devoted mother and a successful business owner are not competing roles; they can be complementary ones.

Lysi’s daughter, Kenzie, is now following in her footsteps, both as a real estate professional and as a mother raising her own family here in Boise. If you’ve spent any time with Kenzie, you know she carries a heart of gold and a work ethic that feels familiar. It’s easy to see where it comes from: years of watching her mom navigate business and motherhood with grace, dedication, and an unwavering sense of purpose.
