Giving Tuesday takes place on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, and is a worldwide initiative dedicated to supporting nonprofits and charities. This Giving Tuesday, we want to highlight charities and nonprofits local to Idaho that work day in and day out to support and strengthen our community. Your contribution, no matter the amount, helps these organizations in their missions, and the benefit of your donation will shine through in the Idaho community.

The Idaho Foodbank:

The Idaho Foodbank is a charity that provides food to those in need and supports hunger relief and educational programs that promote healthy families. They focus on children and families, rural communities, and elders. You can support this cause by donating here, where 94% of donations go directly to helping Idahoans experiencing hunger.  You can also support the Idaho Foodbank by volunteering and participating in food drives.

Boise Rescue Mission:

The Boise Rescue Mission is a nonprofit organization committed to meeting the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs of homeless and addicted individuals in the Boise and Nampa areas. They run seven shelters for those in need and never turn people away. Donate here to provide shelter and food for those who need it. You can also get involved and volunteer here.

Idaho Humane Society:

With over ten thousand animals received, the Idaho Humane Society nurtures animals and finds them forever homes. They also spay and neuter stray dogs, helping to manage the number of strays in our community. You can support the Idaho Humane Society by donating here, volunteering your time, or even fostering a dog or cat!

Lee Pesky Learning Center:

The Lee Pesky Learning Center’s mission is to work together with individuals, families, schools, and communities to understand and overcome obstacles to learning. Through research-based methods, the learning center is able to support children with learning differences and empower them with knowledge and skills. You can donate to this organization here!
